PLEASE NOTE: Before trying to Fix HP Printer Error, necklaces, bracelets or any other metal items must be taken off to prevent electric shock.

Solution

First the right door must be opened.

Then the paper must be gently pulled out of the pickup area.

In case the paper jams when it enters the fuser’s bottom the paper must be pulled downward gently to remove it.

IMPORTANT: The rollers on the transfer roller must not be touched as the print quality might be affected by contaminants.

In case the paper is stuck when it enters the output bin the paper must be pulled down gently for removing it.

The fuser might have to be removed for clearing the jam.

Now, the fuser must be removed and it must be checked if there’s any jammed paper that’s not visible.

CAUTION: As the fuser might be hot due to the product being used the fuser must be handled after it cools down.

Next the fuser handles must be grabbed and lifted up a bit and pulled out straight for removing the fuser.

Now the jam-access door must be opened.

CAUTION: Even though the fuser might have cooled, the rollers contained inside might be hot. Therefore, the fuser rollers must not be touched till they have cooled down.

If the paper is stuck in the fuser it must be pulled straight up gently for removing it. If there are torn paper fragments these must be removed as well.

Then, the jam-access door must be closed and the fuser pushed inside the product completely.

It must be checked that the pick roller cover is closed as well.

NOTE: Sometimes, the printer might show a “13.20.00 Jam in right door” error when the power is turned on and yet there’s no paper jam in the area. This happens if a pickup roller cover in the right door is misplaced. In case the pick roller cover is displaced, it will block the movement of a sensor, leading to the 13.20.00 error.

It must be checked if the pick roller cover is open.

If it is it must be put in its original position.

Then the right door must be closed.
