49.4A.04 Error Code HP Printer
HP printer error is a generic firmware error. The printer is unable to print. The system stops working completely. There are various ways to go about solving this error. This HP Printer Error is common in laser jet printers. These errors occur in Laser jet 4250, Laser jet 4050, Laser jet P4015, Laser Jet 600 series.

Restore the factory settings
This step will return the printer to its original factory settings
- Take off the USB cable if attached with the printer and switch off the main power button. Take off the printer socket.
- Wait for at least 30 seconds and then reconnect the printer.
- Press the resume button on the printer for at least 10 seconds. (image pointer 2) .
- The attention light will then blink and the lights of the printers turn on. (image pointer 1).
- Release the resume button and the ready lights will blink and the product restores the factory defaults.
Clear the print jobs
This can solve the issue of power outages. The following steps can resolve the issue
- Turn off the printer using the power button and take off the power socket.
- Save the work you have not saved on your computer.
- Open the windows services and click on ‘services’ option.
- In the ‘services’ option find the print spooler
- Right click on the print spooler and click on ‘stop’
- After the printer service has stopped close the service window also.
- Browse on your internet explorer to browse ‘ C: windows/systems32/spool/PRINTERS.
- Delete all the files that are contained in the PRINTERS folder
- Shut down the computer system
- Make sure that the printer has been unplugged for at least one minute.
- Plug the power cord again into the power outlet.
- Turn on the power button of the printer
- Switch on the computer system
- Reconnect the USB port to the computer
- Try printing a test page again, if the problem resolves its good, else it is recommended to try further troubleshoot
Reinstall the printer software
Reinstalling the printer software can solve the error:
Make sure that the following requirements are ready before you begin to reinstall the printer software:
- The printer is turned on and in a ready state
- Obtain a USB cable that is 9ft to 10 ft in length
- The computer you are using should have a USB connecting hub
- Disconnect the USB connecting the computer amd the printer
- Search in windows for ‘Devices and Printers option’ in the control panel settings section
- Right click on the printer model that you are using and click on ‘Remove device’
- If there are multiple icons for the printer then remove all of them
- Close the devices and the printers window
- Go to 123.hp.com and then enter your printers model number
- Follow the onscreen instructions to download the file and start the start up process
- If the above installation process fails then go to HP Customer Service– Software and Diver Downloads.
- Enter the printer model that you are using and confirm that the operating system that is being used is correct
- If there is a need to change the operating system, click on ‘change’ and select the version you need and click on ‘change’
- Follow the on screen instructions
- When notified by the installer choose the connecting option and complete the set up
- Try to print a test document. If the print fails again try other troubleshoot methods.
