OXC19A0020 Error Code HP Printer
Sometimes a customer while printing a document can get the error message ‘Ink system failure oxc19a0020’ on the HP photo smart printer’s screen. Before contacting the technical support team, the user can try some steps to remedy the HP Printer Error Code:

Step 1
- Unplug the USB cable from the printer while leaving the power supply on.
- Remove the cartridges from the printer by opening the cartridge installation access cover.
- Close the access cover and keep the printer on. Wait till the machine shows the message ‘Insert Ink Cartridge’.
- Next cut off the power supply and from the machine the power cord needs to be disconnected.
- Wait for a minimum of sixty seconds before the power cord is reconnected. In case the machine is not switched on automatically, do it manually by switching the power button on.
- Put the cartridges back into the printer and close the access cover.
- Try to print a calibrated page if possible before starting to print before a proper document.
- Put the USB cable back and connect it with a computer to check if the printing is being done properly.
If this step fails, try the next step.
Step 2
- Switch off the printer before beginning the process.
- All the ink cartridges that are in the printer needs to be removed. In the next step check and ensure that there are no residual tapes on the ink cartridges that have been removed.
- Use gloves to clean any ink that are that appear either inside the printing machine or the cartridges. To remove the ink the user can also use moist cotton swabs. Continue to clean the residual ink until the swabs come out clean after swabbing the inked areas of the printer and the cartridges.
- Check the status of the cartridges, in case they have low status, they are likely to bleed more or have bulging issues. To avoid the leaking problem get rid of them as soon as possible. Replace the low level cartridges with new and original ones.
- After replacing all the cartridges and cleaning the printing machine of the ink bleed un-plug the printer. Let it be like that for a minimum of one minute. Check once again if the cartridges are bleeding into the machine. If not start the printer and try to print.
Step 3
- The user can also try to clean the cartridges to resolve the issue. To clean the cartridges use distilled water to moisten a lint free cloth.
- Very gently clean the copper coloured area of the cartridge.
- Next use a dry lint-free cloth the wipe the area that has been cleaned with the damp cloth.
- Wait for a minimum of ten minutes for the cartridges to dry and putting it back into the machine’s cartridge slot.
- See the control panel whether any more error messages are being displayed, if not try to use the printer after connecting it back to the computer.
