Troubleshooting Steps HP Printer Error Not Enough Memory
Procedure 1: Restarting the computer
The user can try to solve the problem by restarting the computer and then checking for any print jobs are on the queue, if there are, cancel those printing jobs. Select start, then programs and then accessories, from their select Notepad and open it. Key in few short sentences and try to print the document. If the printer takes the command and prints it without showing the error message, that would indicate, either the original file during which the printer showed the error message was corrupted or the hard disk did not have ample space to process the spool document.
Procedure 2: All-in-One to be connected to the computer
Connect the All-in-One to the computer via a USAB cable. But before doing that the user should uninstall the software of All-in-One. After which the power cord and the parallel cable of the All-in One needs to be disconnected from the power socket and the computer respectively. Next All-in-One software needs to be reinstalled again after which turn on the power of All-in-One. Connect the All-in-one with USB to the computer only after the computer prompts it. See if this option solves the problem. If not, follow the next procedure.
Procedure 3: Check availability of the system resources
This procedure requires two steps to see if the machine is able to support the All-in-one with the availability of system resources.
First Step: After restarting the computer the user needs to have ‘Windows Security’ screen to be displayed. For that press together CTRL, ALT and DEL buttons. This will bring up the ‘Windows Security’, next click on ‘Task Manager’ and then to check the usage of the memory click on ‘Performance’.
Second Step: Check the RAM that is required by the machine and that the computer supports that. If not you can try to increase the memory.
Procedure 4: Check hard disk’s space and manage it
If the user’s hard disk space is not enough to support the machine, then the user can follow the next five steps to correct it:
First Step: The user can check the hard disk to see the space it has.
Second Step: The virtual memory of the hard disk also needs to be checked. The virtual memory is the hard disk’s temporary memory. It is mandatory for the computer to have over 200 MB of the virtual memory for documents to be printed and scanned or else the error message of not enough memory can be displayed.
Third Step: The recycle bin of computer needs to be cleared, as not emptying it might take up a lot of temporary memory of the computer.
Fourth Step: Clean the disk by running the ‘Disk Cleanup’ program. This will analyse the drives and give the user a report from which the user can decide on the files that are required and those that can be deleted.
Fifth Step: Deleting the obsolete and unwanted software and programs. This would create space and enable the printer to run without the error message of ‘Enough memory’.
