  • Extender and main router should be present in different channels  1 and 6, 1 and 11, or 6 and 11 for the 2.4G band.
  • Always place the printer to the nearest Access Point with channel 1 set.
  • Ensure that AP isolation is disabled by checking both access points.
  • Use Ethernet power line adapters to connect the printer to a LAN port.


Fix 2: Set the Static IP

  • From the router> you need to set the starting DHCP address range 192.168.1.100 (or 192.168.0.100). Ending DHCP address range “192.168.1.150” (or 192.168.0.150). Set Printer Static IP to “192.168.1.10” (or 192.168.0.10). 
  • After setting the static IP, now you need to update the computer. For this, go to the “Printer Properties/Ports” > now manage and update the standard TCP/IP port with the printers’ new static IP address.

    You can use the manual to set a static IP in the printer and outside the DHCP range of the router. Fix 3: Set a Standard TCP/IP port 
  • First you need to Press Start/Devices and Printers> now “right-click” on the HP Printer.
  • Now choose “Printer Properties”> then choose the Ports tab to proceed.

  • Now the printers Embedded Web Server (EWS) will work all the time by going to your Printer’s Static IP address in your browser.

You need to ensure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet and not into a UPS, power strip or surge protector.
