Types of Wi-Fi Printer Setup

Canon TS3122 WIFI Printer Setup (Direct Setup)

Learn how to connect your Canon TS3122 printer to Wi-Fi directly on Windows and Mac. You will also learn how to connect using the WPS button later in the instruction.

Windows Setup PIXMA TS3122

If your router doesn’t have a WPS button, you can use the easy wireless connection approach. You can use this simple wireless setup to connect your Canon TS3122 printer to Wi-Fi on Mac or Windows 10.

• First, turn on your Canon TS3122 printer and check for a green light.
• When the green light blinks, hit the printer’s ‘stop’ button.
• When the green flashing light stops, press and hold the ‘direct’ button on your printer for 2-3 seconds.
• Your printer has a little digital screen; keep an eye on it for a wireless icon.
• You can leave your printer here. Now, go to your Windows 10 computer and download the Canon TS3122 drivers from the official Canon website.

• Next, select ‘setup’. Then enter your product’s name.

• After entering your Wi-Fi password, click ‘next.’
• The Canon TS3122 is now installed on your PC with Wi-Fi settings.

Mac Setup PIXMA TS3122

When connecting your printer to Wi-Fi on a Mac, the first 7-8 steps are nearly identical to those for Windows.

• Several caution messages will appear while installing Canon drivers on Mac. Ignore them! Also, click ‘agree and download’.
• To begin, go to the downloaded file and open it on your Mac.
• Then click ‘open’ to start the installation procedure.
• Also, provide your printer’s password.
• Please click ‘start helper’. Please wait!
• To proceed, please click ‘agree’ on the screen displaying the terms and conditions.
• Then find your wireless connection and enter your password.
• Finally, click ‘next’ and wait for the process to complete.
• After your Mac has finished setting up, the printer will look for and fix any hidden faults.

Canon TS3122 WPS Wireless Setup

• Connecting your TS3122 printer through WPS is simple and quick. First, turn on your printer.
• Then, when your printer’s green light flashes, push the ‘stop’ button.
• When the green light is steady, push the network button on your printer.
• On your printer’s digital screen, look for a wireless icon.
• Next, you must hit the WPS button on your router.
• Hold the WPS button for 3-5 seconds.
• The WPS button should start flashing.
• Getting your Canon TS3122 printer connected to Wi-Fi takes only a few minutes.
• Verify that the printer’s screen shows the wireless icon, which indicates the Wi-Fi connection.

USB Setup PIXMA TS3122

• Insert the printer’s setup CD.  Select Run MSETUP4.EXE. Click the proper choice to proceed if any screens ask for permission .(e.g. Yes.)
• Click Start Setup when the software starts. If you select Use updated software available online, the installer will search online for the newest drivers and software. The setup application will run for a while.
• Next, select your region.
• Examine the License Agreement. Yes to continue.
• Scroll down the Extended Survey Program screen to read the information asked. Then select Agree to participate or Disagree to not participate. Optional. Not agreeing will not prevent you from using the printer.
• On the Firewall Settings message, select Deactivate the block and click Next.
• The installation will monitor the printer. This will take a while.
• On the Select Connection Method box, select USB and click Next.
• Then the printer driver is installed.
• After a few moments, you will be asked to connect the printer to the computer through USB. Then connect the cable.
• The installer will then proceed after the driver installation.
• On the Setup Complete screen, select Set as default printer. If you leave this box checked, your PC will use this printer as its default printer whenever you print something. If you want to use another printer as your default, uncheck this option. Next to continue.

1. Don’t have a CD-ROM on my device!

Well, in this case you can directly install the setup and printer drivers from the Canon official website.

2. Why is my Canon won’t print?/Not Printing

Check your internet connection, the connection of the printer with wires and network, and try reconnecting by resetting the devices.

3. Why is my Canon Printer showing offline?

• Incorrect default printer settings may be the cause of your Canon printer showing offline.  So make sure your printer is set as ‘Default Printer’. 

• If the Printer Offline Enable – Check if the Offline Status option is enabled, if yes then disable it.
