What is Brother Printer Jam Error?

Brother printer paper jam is an issue that users usually report while printing documents. The present of jammed paper may result in the hardware damages. So, clearing it will be highly suggested. When the lubricant between the gears mixes with dust then it becomes sticky and the rocker does not behave as it should. There are various reasons of paper jam error.

Causes of Brother Printer Paper Jam Error

There can be multiple causes of the Brother Printer Jam Error .Some most common causes have been identified.

Using the Wrong Type of Printer Paper-Brother printer is configured to use a certain size and kind of paper .Not using the correct type of paper will trigger the paper jam error. So, always check the manual of Brother Printer to make certain that the paper type used should be correct.
Using inferior quality printing paper- Using a printing paper of inferior quality can be a reason for brother printer jam error and along with that it will also affect the quality of the printed document too. So always try to use quality papers which are compatible to the printer.
Overloading the paper in Input Tray-It may sound unusual how overloading the paper in the input tray can cause the brother printer paper jam error but it is true. The rollers of printer pick the paper from a certain height during the process of printing.
Not loading the paper correctly-When printer keep saying paper jam ,it means that loading the printing paper incorrectly in the paper tray which is common cause of this error .And when paper is folded in the input tray ,there are high chances of paper jam.
Not using Good quality ink Cartridge- Not only ink cartridge of poor quality affect the quality of the print but it also causes Paper Jam Error. It may cost less but it can also damage printer later. So, ink cartridge that has been suggested in the manual of the Brother Printer should be used.
Damaged Brother Printer Rollers- Rollers are used in pulling the sheets from the input tray. There might be certain chances that due to the excessive use of specialty paper or mishandling of the device can result in them getting damage.

How to fix Paper Jam Error.

First, disconnect the power cable from the power supply .then disconnect the LAN cable from the device. In case you find that the “paper support flap” open then you need to “Close” it.
In next step remove the input tray out of Brother Printer .Then examines both the levers of the input tray to check the paper jam. In case you find any unwanted paper then remove it.
Then open the scanner cover of the device and there should be no jammed paper in the front of the device.
Get one A4 size paper from the device and insert that into the paper tray of the device. If there is Jammed Paper inside the device then they will come out automatically.
When jammed paper come out then remove the extra inserted paper from front panel. After this process open the jam clear cover from the backside of the device to check ripped paper.
Insert one plain A4 size paper after inserting the blocked paper will come out through the opening. Then remove the sheets that have been inserted .After that, close the jam clear cover that have opened to clear the paper jam.
Next, close the scanner cover gently. Afterward insert the input tray to its original position.
Now, reconnect the power cable and turn the device ON. Run a test print to check whether the problem is resolved.
